Choosing Your Paint
Below is a description of the different types of paint and their qualities.
Flat - soft matte finish that hides surface irregularities. Easiest to apply, easily touched up. 0 -4% Light Reflection.
Velvet / Eggshell - low sheen with more washability than flat. Excellent dirt and stain resistance; washes like enamel. 5-8% Light Reflection. Shows wall imperfections with angular lighting.
Satin - low sheen with more washability than flat. Excellent dirt and stain resistance: washes like an enamel. 10-25% Light Reflection. Shows wall imperfections with angular lighting.
Semi-Gloss - durable finish that withstands repeated washings. Excellent for high traffic areas. 40-70% Light Reflection. Shows high level of wall imperfections in all lighting.
Gloss - A rich gloss finish that provides the most wear and moisture
resistance. Over 80% Light Reflection. Shows highest level
of wall imperfections.
